Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the company's day-to-day financial operations and oversee the complete accounting cycle. This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently while supporting management with timely financial reporting and insights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle accounting process, from data entry through financial reporting
  • Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and process payroll, payroll tax filings, and benefits-related accounting
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan statements monthly
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Track and record fixed assets and depreciation
  • Prepare and file sales tax, use tax, and other compliance reports
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Coordinate with external CPAs or auditors during tax preparation and audits
  • Maintain organized and compliant financial records
  • Ensure accounting practices comply with GAAP and company policies

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Experience handling payroll and payroll taxes
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, reconciliations, reporting)
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and tax software
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting tools preferred

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills for working with management and vendors
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
